YT 500 Club Member | aging My soon to be six year old yorkie doesn't play much anymore. For the past few years he acts like a lazy butt. I was just wondering if he's getting old to play around, or could there be something wrong. He acts totally normal, eats potty, plays if you go to him. Does anybody's yorkie do the same?

| Dogs tend to adapt to their owners life style as they get older. Does he still like to go on walks and do things with you? |

YT 500 Club Member | Oh yeah, he loves to go out. Car rides and walks. Just doesn't like socializing with other dogs. Was always the only dog in house. Now we have a new pup. He hates it, but tolerates her. He's always been like a lap dog. Has anxiety on walks and car rides. But he's always been like that.

| If he seems to have all of a sudden slowed down some, it wouldn't hurt to run general bloodwork. Is he depressed with a pup around?

YT 500 Club Member | He didn't recently act this way. He was like that before puppy. Just not as active like a pup. Maybe I'm comparing his actions with my puppy. They are both so different.
