| I'm not sure how long it would take. I know I pad trained mine first and then to outside. So that way if the weather is bad they will use a pad inside. Like today we have had rain, rain now we have snow coming down. They actually prefer the outside the best.

| I love that my yorkie is pee pad trained. I trained him to use the pee pads by having a Iris Xpen where I put his pee pads and crate. When I was training him, I would put him in the crate most of the time and when he would potty on the pad, I would let him out for a little playtime. Basically, I trained him as if I were taking him outside. He is now 10 months old and he is completely trained. Also, when We go outside or for walks he will go outside. It sure is convenient to not have to take him out during bad weather or at night. |

| I'm not sure how you would train a dog to go on a pad when they are already outside trained. Usually it goes the other way around. Maybe try buying the kind of pad that has the scent that is supposed to attract the dog to pee on it. I would put the pad by the door most often used to go potty. They do sell liquid house breaking aids that have a hormone that attracts a dog to pee on it that might make the attraction stronger. Since your dog already knows it is not supposed to pee inside it may be hesitant to pee there but if you finally get it to go there make sure you give a treat as a reward so your dog knows it is a good thing, |
