| Yet Another Treat Recall.... Here is another recall on store bought treats....at least they are containated with "antibiotic residue" and not some disease....even tho antibiotic allergies can be just as lethal.... At your request, I'm sending you this special alert. On January 25, 2013, Hartz Mountain announced it has issued a voluntary withdrawal for two of its dog treats product lines due to contamination with an unapproved antibiotic residue. To learn which products are affected, please visit the following link: Hartz Recalls Contaminated Dog Treats |

| I saw this yesterday and threw out two packages of Hartz Tiny Dogs chews. Even though they aren't in the recall, I still checked the package for the China label. This is getting so ridiculous! There was even a story on the news this morning about fake and substandard foods being imported into this country as natural and/or pure.

| Everyone should stop buying dog treats. They aren't worth it! Make your own at home. It is so easy and then there are no worries about ingredients or recalls. I feed my dog kibble, but there is no need for the store bought treats.

| [QUOTE=Maximo;4117274]Everyone should stop buying dog treats. They aren't worth it! Make your own at home. It is so easy and then there are no worries about ingredients or recalls. I have been doing this ever since my dear friend lost all her babies to liver disease and kidney disease, slowly, over several years, after feeding them those chicken jerky treats.......that was years ago, after the first recall of treats made in China......There is NO dehydrator made that is too expensive, if it will keep your babies from suffering the horrible prolonged death sentence my friends babies suffered, as well as any of the other precious babies that have been sacrificed at the alter of TreatsMadeInChina.... |
