| Surefire Higgins Gitter! Lately, little Higgins has been very willful about NOT coming when called and also taking off down the road, despite all our efforts at discipline. WELL, NO MORE! We have discovered a surefire Higgins caller that works every time! A harmonica. Ayuh. You read it right. Don is really quite a good harmonica player, but when Pogo and I moved in and Don played us a tune......Pogo HOWLED! I mean it is just like a David Letterman Stupid Pet Trick! He howls EVERY time. At first we thought it was because it hurt his ears, but it doesn't....he just likes to sing to the harmonica! And guess who Pogo has taught to sing "backup?" Ayuh. Higgins. It is soooooo funny! We can be inside the house with all the doors shut and the dogs can be way down by the lake and if we even softly blow the harmonica, they COME A RUNNIN' and a HOWLIN'! Every time. At top speed. Without fail. Immediately. So, guess whose parents are each keeping a harmonica in their pants pockets? Ayuh. Us. One of these days we'll get a picture of our little choir and post it..... |
