YT 500 Club Member | puppies tail question? Should a yorkie puppies tail be standing, or down? I've never seen my pup with her tail up like other yorkies. Is that normal? Just wondering............

well i don't know if it's normal or not but my oscar will do this occasionally. when he is cold , nervous, or just had a scare from a loud noise , he will walk around with his tail down for a bit. otherwise , yes his tail is standing upright.. Last edited by MY OSCAR; 12-19-2012 at 12:57 AM. | |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Clyde's tail (unless he is cold, nervous, or scares as Oscar's mom has listed above) is always standing up. Dexter on the other hand kind of picks and chooses when he wants his tail to stand up. When Dexter is playing or he is alert his tail goes up, but generally his tail is not up .. and sometimes he carries it in the middle! Lol I'm not sure if the dog not carrying the tail high is normal or not, though. |

| How long is your dog's tail? Sometimes if they are very short they will not be able to put the tail up. |
