| Never wake a sleeping yorkie? I have read on here several times not to wake a sleeping yorkie, well... Lilly always falls asleep on me for her naps during the day or before bed and I am the type of person who cant sit still for 10 mins, so I am always having to get up and do stuff, I usually put her in her bed after a few mins but she wakes up and starts to play and then somehow ends up right back on me sleeping again lol. This happens all the time, I think the only time she really gets a good sleep is at night when she is in HER bed. Is this not healthy for her? I would love to just put her in her bed to sleep but I admit I have spoiled her on this |

| I wouldn't worry about it. She just wants to be with you when you are sitting. How old is she? I'm sure that if she were tired, she'd go to sleep. Mine always did. Never mind. I see at the bottom of your post that she is 17 weeks. I haven't had one yet that didn't get up, even when they were in their own bed, when someone else was making noise.

| I wouldn't think it would hurt your Yorkie to interrupt her sleep. One thing that has always marveled me about dogs is that they can go from a dead sleep to being ready to run out and play in a split second. Also - she should be getting used to not being able to sleep very long on your lap. So - she knows what she's getting into. I do the same with mine if he's sleeping right on top of me. He usually just stretches and goes back to sleep wherever I put him. But, this is because he is a little pup. I'm already noticing that he is beginning to sleep less. Carol Jean |
