..........Please, please, pray for little Tibbe.

He's in for his bloodwork, fecal and dental under anesthesia today and a prayer for my Little-Engine-That-Could Yorkie boy would sure be appreciated. No matter how many times you take them in for their dentals, it still is heartbreaking to hand them over to the attendant and kiss them goodbye, isn't it? From Scotty, then Jilly and now Tibbe, I've done this yearly forever it seems and yet it is still a rough time. I left there sad and scared. It feels so silly in a way to still get unsettled by this yearly procedure despite how I tell myself I'm going to grow up about this one day.

Tried to appease myself by buying Tibbe a new Furby yesterday at the store, planning on activating it today and getting it going to occupy some of my time today and so he would have it when he gets home and begins to feel like playing, etc., but I don't even want to get it out of the box. Ate a Honey Bun and had lovely French Vanilla coffee for breakfast and it's just sitting there in my stomach in a knot. I feel a little sick. I need to decorate the Christmas Tree today and I can't move right now. Why can't I accept dentals as a fact of life and go about my day?

Please take a moment to pray my little Tibbe will be okay. I love him to very much.

I am certainly praying for you both today. I haven't had to hand Gracie over since her spay but I know the feeling you are having. To see the little face looking at you trying to understand why you are handing them over is hard to take.
Most likely he will be asleep most of the time he is gone so he is not as fearful as you are right now and it takes a while to wake up from the anesthesia.
Let us know how the little guy is when you get him home!

Thanks so much!!! It's always a long day because they do the testing first, wait for all results, do a pre-op exam and then do the dental so they usually don't get to him until late morning, early afternoon. I just hate this day every year.

Prayers going out for Tibbe and his dental.
I know with mine I take them in two before the dental to have the blood work done, so that way I know before hand that all is ok at that point.
I know it will a long day, just try and stay busy.

My doggie just had his teeth cleaned Monday. I was worried too, but he was OK! Sending prayers for your cute little one!

He is in my thoughts today. I broke down and could not even take him to get neutered my dad had to do it for me.

Oh, thank you sweet ladies! I so appreciate someone having the understanding of how scary this is when it is your baby on that O.R. table and not just any dog. It is so good to have a whole lot of lovely folks who "get it" and understand. Thank every one of you for those sweet thoughts and prayers about for little Tibbeo! I just know he'll be fine now.
