| Litter box or pee pads? Hi everyone! I need to make a decision quick about Gracie's potty method. Do you feel litter box or potty pads are better? |

| I think potty pads are best because some puppy's will eat litter from a litter box.

YT 2000 Club Member | I would recommend using the pee pads. You can buy them cheaper at Walmart. I trained JoJo on these and he still uses them. I have not used the litter box but I hear the one where it looks like lawn, it tends to smell. I like to just chuck these pads out and there is no smell. Now my Yorkie can be bad and sometimes when he gets mad he will chew the pad. So watch out for that. JoJo's stocking is on the naughty side this am. | I started out using both, but now I use washable pee pads only. My boys would eat the litter and scatter it around. I like that they can just go downstairs to potty when it's really cold outside. |

| I have used disposable puppy pads since day one with Gracie and it has worked well. She went right to them. She pees outside when I take her out but I still have the pad inside for night time or if I have to be away. Don't know much about doggy litter boxes. |

So unless you are a complete homebody, I'd recommend potty pads.

| The trunk of your car? that's hilarious! I decided on potty pads. That's what she is used to I guess, so I don't want to confuse her. Plus it seems much more convenient when we travel. |

| I agree with pee pads! My breeder told me that she once tried to train her dogs to use litterbox and they just ended up eating the sand pebbles. So she said that she never tried it again -- too dangerous for the dogs. |
