| when to take my puppy home Sorry for all the questions guys, but I'm not going to have internet access for a couple weeks after Sunday morning. Okay so my new puppy is at the breeder's still. I will be at my parents house for the next two weeks, which is very close to where the puppy is. Then I'll be moving to me and my puppy's new home! I was planning originally to get the puppy right before I moved so the one place she'd be after her breeders would be her new home. But now I'm thinking that when I move I'm going to be out of the house for a few hours at a time for classes (i come home in between when I can and at lunch), but I don't want her to be scared and alone. Would it be better to take her to my parents house for awhile where I can be with her all day long so she can feel safer and bond with me? Or would the change of environments stress her more? When my dad saw her yesterday they brought her into their house for the first time and she was so scared she couldn't stop shaking! |

| Yes I would take her to your parents since you have that option that way someone is with her all day.

| I vote for the parents house, too. Just knowing puppies as I do, I wouldn't advise leaving them by themselves.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Personally, I would not bring her home until you are settled with school. She is going to be very stressed being away from her littermates and her momma. It's important for you to build that bond and how can you do that if you are away from her. I COMPLETELY understand that you are going to school and I commend you for doing that. However looking from the puppy's point of view, the puppy will be confused and the type of training that your parents may give might be different than yours thus adding more to the confusion.
