| Funny things your yorkie did today/recently? I can never capture these moments on camera or video, so I've started writing (typing) them out so I never forget those odd, funny things she does. So just now, my mom was making something in the kitchen, and in the living room, Mocha (my 11 year old yorkie) and I were having fun, rolling around on the carpet and chasing each other. After a few minutes, my mom walked right past us and went back to sit on the sofa in the living room, but Mocha was still busy rolling around and didn't seem to notice. When she got tired, she started to look for my mom, and she automatically headed straight for the kitchen. I watched her for several minutes, as she investigated the kitchen and even the washroom nearby, clearly puzzled by the fact that my mom wasn't where she last saw her. Still confused, she eventually made her way back to the living room, and I swear, her expression when she saw my mom sitting there was priceless. Her ears and tail just fell when I burst out laughing, and she went to sit next to my mom, looking so embarrassed. I don't know, people say dogs can't tell when you're laughing at them, but she just seems to know. Her embarrassed look even makes me feel bad for laughing sometimes. Does anyone feel the same way, or am I just crazy? Anyway, tell me what your yorkie has done recently that made you laugh!

| LOL! That is so cute!! I think that yorkies are more sensitive than other dogs so it wouldn't surprise me if they knew when we were laughing at them. Mandie does stuff all the time and I say, "I have GOT to get a video camera." She's funny..her big brother is too. She makes me laugh when she's chasing behind him nipping at his back legs..then he turns to chase her and she looks like, "what?!" and takes off under a lawn chair. lol

| Brandi does something everyday that makes me laugh or smile. Two things she does every day that I never get tired of. Every morning I wake up with a smile. Whenever the alarm clock goes off, Brandi starts barking and running and jumping on the bed. She will bark at the alarm clock to get it to stop. She hates the alarm clock. In the evenings, Brandi waits in the window for me, when she sees my car (yes she knows my car), she gets so excited. However, she won't leave the window until she hears the garage door. Sometimes, I just sit there, ( I know, I'm stinker too) just to see how excited she gets. Of course this has me laughing hsterically. My favorite though is in the mornings when it is time to eat, if i don't move fast enough for her, she will run to the steps and then back to the bedroom several times. The expression on her face is priceless. It's as if she is saying "what the heck is taking so long, hurry up I'm hungry" |

YT 2000 Club Member | Teeka, even at only 22 weeks, has a bed time routine. At 9:00 (yes, I go to bed at that time) She goes to the bedroom door and sits or yips for me. She wants to go to bed! Then, she sleeps in our bed, of course, she has to make her bed with her own blanket. She turns circles digging and holding the blanket in her mouth, until she gets it just right! Then she waits until I cover her with our quilt! Gosh, I love her to pieces!

| I raised my kids to be kind to all animals and one of the parts of being kind was to never laugh at or make fun of an animal to it's face. I'm not talking about laughing and having fun but, you know, making fun of an animal. They do know! I would not let them hurt each others feelings and I sure would not let them be that way with our furry family members either. I'm sure many people think that is strange but they just don't know how to watch an animal and read it's reactions. Or maybe they just don't care. I have taught my grand children the same things and let me tell you the younger kids need an extra dose of teaching about kindness. It seems to be a missing element in many households these days. |

| I think they do know. I only laugh in front of them when I can't help it. Sometimes, they are too funny. He doesn't really mind so long we give him plenty of positive attention after that telling him he is sooo cute and etc.

| Every morning Molli wakes us up when she hears the alarm go off. She gets all happy and wiggly and gives us licks and bounces back and fourth until we get up. Funny part is she only does that to one particular alam sound, any other alarm goes off, nothing. Her latest mischieveious deed was she got into my lunch bag which was on top of a chair and ate a pastry snack out of my lunch. She got it completley out of the wrapper and everything! I came home and she had pink pastry on her paws and her mouth was all wet. I couldnt help but laugh when I found the wrapper completley inside out and almost perfectly in tact! Shes a naughty monkey!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Great thread idea! They sure do seem to do funny things every day. I've been having a hard time getting 1-on-1 time with Jillie to teach her new tricks. Eddie sees me pull the treats out, and he wants in. So today, I snuck Jillie into the bedroom when Eddie was sleeping. I closed the door and was trying to work on "speak." I tried a couple things to get her to bark and said the word "speak." Jillie was dead silent. But after a couple tries, I heard a "woof" outside the door -- it was Eddie! I chuckled to myself and tried it again, saying "speak" to Jillie. Sure enough, Eddie woofed again. He was only barking when I said the word "speak." Otherwise, he was waiting patiently outside the door. Defeated, I finally opened up the door and gave him a treat. Jillie got nothing!

| Hey Mama I want UP. Julia Rose is too small to jump onto the sofa. So she stands on my foot and presses her chim between my knees. If I don't pick her up she runs around the coffee table yelping a few times to get my attention, then repeats the foot stand knee press ! Yes of course it works, who can resist that darling Yorkie face ?
