YT 500 Club Member | shivering The weather has had a drastic change from warm to cold in Cali. My little zooey is shivering. Is that normal? She has clothes on, my other fur baby is. A teapot, and acting fine. Zooey is barely 5 lbs. Could it be she's just cold, or something else to worry about. She's wrapped up in a blanket laying on me, and stopped shivering. Just wondering?

| My Gracie is very sensitive to the cold. She will seek out heat when ever it gets a little cooler. The floors are always chilly here in the winter and I think with her being so close to the floor when she walks that she gets cold easily. I got her a couple of sweater dresses last year and she is very comfortable in them. They are not tight on her fur or constricting at all. Zack and Zoey Fair Isle Dog Sweater Dress Size Small | eBay That is one of my favorites. I also got socks for her. I think she likes the sweater more than the socks! I think some dogs are different than others as far as how well they maintain their body heat. |

| I'm sure she's just cold. Sounds like when she warmed up with you, she is fine

| Shivering can be a sign of being cold, fearful, anxious, or in pain. If she started shivering when the temperature dropped, she is probably just cold -- and she stopped shivering when wrapped up in the blankie.

| If Columbo's hair is short when it gets chilly, I have to keep a sweater on him. He shivers if I don't. I also have to put a coat on him to do his business outside, especially in the morning. |

| Yes, I think she is cold, too. Tatiana is sensitive to the cold, too. She's small (about 3 lbs). We have hard floors, and they do get cold during this time of year. Tatiana actually sneezes and coughs when she's chilly. I keep her in a sweater. Also, at night, I set-up a heated, pet bed for her. |

| My 16 pounder gets very cold easily when it hits 50 outside she has to have a warm sweater on or she just shuts down and doesn't do well. Yorkies have hair not fur and no under coat so they get much colder then other dogs.
