| These prices sound crazy.com In the spring, I laid my precious yorkie to rest. Recently, with my family moving away I decided it might be time to invest in a new furry friend. So I started looking around on the internet. This one of the sites I have found. FCS BABY DOLL YORKIES FOR SALE,HOME OF CHAMPION YORKIES,TINY BABY DOLLS The prices range from 3000-5000. Is this not crazy? Are these puppies plated with gold? I even live in the province they live in and they are charging ridiculous travel fee's. Can anyone provide me with a decently priced and trustworthy breeder in Alberta Canada? I would greatly appreciate it as I am not really trusting all I see on kijiji...some odd characters out there. |

| I would run away from that breeder FAST! Their puppies look like the dogs you would see in Korean puppy mills.

| I am not a breeder, but everything that I have read says that using such a tiny female is dangerous to the the little girl. I dont think that I would pay $3000 - $5000 for a puppy. If you shop patiently you can probably find a healthy baby for less than that. First you would want to build a relationship with the breeder. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Hello, I just wanted to tell you that I bought my Biewer from a wonderful lady in Edmonton. She was truly an incredible person. Her last name was Mendea. I will search for her email address. She sent me my darling Priscilla by air to Austin, tx. |

| I would avoid those who breed for very tiny size like the plague if you want to avoid heartache, a suffering pet and endless vet visits, all of which are fairly routine with the purchase of a tiny dog from an unknown breeder on the internet. Unless I knew the breeder for an unquestioned, sterling reputation in the breed, and knew she bred only to enhance the breed with emphasis on health, temperament and conformation to AKC breed standards, with her breeders health-tested in the several suggested areas for suitability for breeding, I would not buy a dog sight unseen over the internet. The website belies all of those things I would require in a breeder, the first of which would be not breeding a bitch of less than 5 lbs. and/or breeding with the express idea of producing offspring that will stay tiny. Red flags on this one!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I am so sorry that I gave you the wrong spelling of The Mensea Family in Edmonton. I searched and investigated so many breeders (that was when I didn't know about YT. I had to self educate about yorkies as I had never had one before. It took a year and I was so guilty of not knowing anything about puppymills. But finally found someone who had all the right answers w/o red flags popping up. PM me if u want the email address. I will forever love your Canada!!!!!!!! |

| I am very sorry for your loss. When looking for a pup and a breeder you want to make sure the breeder does not use any words like teacup, miniature and super tiny, you want to make sure the mother and father of the pups have genetic testing and are free of LP, make sure they are AKC registered that you can see where the pups are being raised, that the breeder is not breeding a lot of dogs at one time and is not breeding mixes. Also make sure that the breeder is not breeding a mother dog under 5 pounds. Good luck in your search and I hope you find a healthy pup.

| Thank you everyone for the responses...I can't get over the way people treat these yorkies like an object over a living thing. But I went and read up on the do's and don'ts of buying a new doggie so I appreciate all the heads up. |
