| Introducing.... Lea!! Hello again everyone. Looks like I'm a new father and uncle to two baby female yorkies Lea is my newest baby, pronounced Lee-uh, my wife's favorite singer on glee. Lea is in the pink bow, her sister is Papaya who is going to my sister. They are both gorgeous and soo lovable. Lea has such a bratty attitude lol, she absolutely craves attention and hugs and kisses. Papaya is more independent and adventurous The best part of this is my baby boy Toto is getting along with Lea great, no barking or growling and is very gentle with her. Anyone with experience, when is a good time to start grooming? They are at 14 weeks and their fur is starting to tangle easy, even though I comb them daily. Anyway on to the part everyone really cares about haha... temporary-1.jpg picture by Da7thsign - Photobucket |

Do you know, I think you can actually tell their personalities from your photos....think you might have a little diva on your hands.... Brilliant that she's getting on so well with your Toto....oh, and I think our Harry was about 5 months old when we first took him to the groomer's. That first time, she just did a kind of 'getting to know him' kind of session - bath, a little bit of scissor-cutting, holding his feet for nails etc. - it worked a treat, and we've never had a problem with him at the groomer's. Good luck, and again congratulations on your new addition! Sally + Harry x | |

| Awe they are both adorable Congrats to you all! It's been awhile since Georgie was a puppy but I have read no grooming until they receive all their puppy vaccines.

| I have also heard no grooming (or taking out in public) until they are fully vaccinated. When Sophie Kate was a baby she was is such need of a grooming but I had to wait until she was ready for her public debut so I got some small scissors and did the trims myself (with some coaching from the people here on YT). Hopefully you will reconsider taking Lea in public if she is not ready (or, hopefully I am not correct with my advice and someone with more experience will advise you).

| They are adorable. Congratulations. Glad to here your male is getting along with the newcomer. Combing at least once daily is essential for these dogs even if you plan on keeping them cut down. Combing a couple of times a day gets them accustomed to the grooming routine and they will be easier to deal with as they get older and need the grooming even more. You might want to try getting a detangling spray to use on them between baths. A weekly bath with a good all natural shampoo and conditioner will help keep their hair silky and easier to comb through. It prevents tangling as well. Best wishes on your new family members. |

Zachary's Mom Donating Member | I found that once I got rid of Zachary's puppy coat the new one didn't mat as much. He went from smooth silky hair to rather curly. He looks like a little raggamuffin. As it is getting longer on his back, it is straightening out and parting down the middle. Cute babies! I would keep them both...ROFL. Louise and Zachary |

| With mine as soon as they had all shots I started them going for feet, face and fanny sanitary grooming. It started around $16 here. With the groomers you can't be sure that other babies aren't sick so I wanted to be careful. Maxximus matts easily as well.

| Get her started right now being accustomed to the touch of a brush, and of you playing with her hair. When I got Luma I immediately started taking a soft bristled brush (a human baby brush is great) and just running it lightly over her whole head. Luma now LOVES being groomed, its her favorite part of the day. Dont let them bite the brush. Maybe find a tiny clip or use a band to train her not to mess with them. She'll want to paw at it at first. Anyway she's a doll and I cant wait to see more of her on YT!! Oh, and LOVE her name. I'm a diehard gleek and Lea is obviously my favorite.
