| Lost Dog I feel so bad for them, they were super small!! I know with the birds of prey, cars, and the cold at night, they will not survive. I keep looking at the mailbox for the Missing Dog sign, at least I can let them know where I saw them last.. I can’t help but wish I was able to catch them! I know given the time their owners were more than likely at work and they probably got out of the back yard- It makes me think, I wonder if Peanut got out of the house and someone tried to catch them if he would run to them? Or run away? He is a super friendly dog and with me goes to everyone, but given the circumstances I wonder if he was out and about without me, I wonder what he would do-?? DH thinks that he would run away from someone that was trying to catch him…. I think he might go up to someone… Maybe if it was a female he would. I don’t think he would go up to a male… I wish there was a way to teach them to go to someone in hopes the person would contact the owners. I know it is a very slim chance if Peanut got out and someone did catch him the chances are of them contacted me are slim… That is what scares me- I hope and pray I never have to deal with that. I do my best to keep him safe. He is never out without a leash, he is never in the back yard alone…. I guess that is all you can do.. What do you think your dogs would do? Run away from someone or go to them?

| Interesting Question. Gracie and Julia Rose would back up and then run. Rubin would lay down. Abba Daddy and Ginny Joy would go to a stranger. WHY ? Gracie (was a rescue) is fearful of being picked up by anyone but me. Julia Rose is a puppy and runs from us, she is playing. Rubin is old and will not run from or to anyone. He will let most people pick him up. Both Abba and Ginny are therapy dogs and have no fear of people at all. If you pat your leg or call them, they will come.

| I've thought about this too... I am always on Craigslist and see owners desperately looking for their pups. I think my two would be totally freaked out... I just don't know. I think if they were hungry enough, they would go up to a stranger.

| Ya it’s really hard to say huh… I mean it’s hard to say how they would be in that situation. I just pray non of us have to deal with that. I haven’t seen any missing dog posters yet- I think I will take a drive around after work to see if those two come back up!

| It's a hard thing to think about. I'm pretty sure that Belle would run away from anyone who tried to approach her. She is very shy, we're working on her socialization, but if she was lost and scared I think she would run away from almost anyone.
