YT 500 Club Member | potty training again? OK,my little zooey is 7 months old now. We pee pad trained her when we first got her, and that was tough. So we decided to outdoor train her. And that's not going well either. All she wants to do outside is snoop around. Then shell come inside and potty where she isn't suppose to. I've tried everything, tons of praise, treats, you name it. Not to mention when she's outside, she won't come when called. Not even in the house she won't come either. She's just one stubborn little girl. My older yorkie had no problems being potty trained. What's her problem? I hear about other peoples yorkies doing both in potty training, what am I doing wrong with her? pulling my hair out at this point!!!!

| Restrict her freedom indoors while you are training. Keep her penned in a small area/room where you can supervise when possible, and clean easily in case of accidents. Use keywords when it is potty time. Try keeping her on a leash outdoors, and when she potties, praise and then give her some freedom off-leash (if that is what she has now). For training to come, make sure that you are asking her to come for desirable things as well as the not-so-desirable things. My Max will come, but keep a slight distance while he figures out what I want him for. So I have to trick him and call him for petting and treats, and not just grooming or whatever I want. Either way, I praise my boys like crazy every time they come when called. Good luck.
