| After hours of research And I mean hours! Lol! I went thru the info I got from Harley's previous owner and searched and searched and found his breeder. I searched her site, contacted her she was very nice and sent me 60 puppy pictures plus his microchip info so I can change it to me.. I can't seem to find his parents in her website and I was a little concerned because she says she has brios, gold dust yorkies and biewers. I thought good breeders only bred on kind of dog.. And what the heck is a brio? She tells me he is a biewer, but he doesn't look like any of her biewers she has listed, he looks more like her gold dust yorkies she has listed. I did get a pedigree but its all in German. Long story short I just wanted to know what you guys thought, I could careless what he is, he's fixed and healthy and a total love bug and already has our who,e house wrapped around his little paws! He came from pampered biewers, I don't know if I'm allowed to post links or not and I don't want to get in trouble has anyone dealt or heard of his breeder?

| Hi - I don't know anything about the breeder. I absolutely love Biewers though. I'm looking to add one to my family soon! It's great how you were able to trace your baby's history. You're very fortunate. I think the two types of dogs you're referring to are Bieweres and BIROs. I think the difference is that the Biewer was developed by Mr & Mrs Biewer in the 1980s in Germany and that dog as a specific tri-colored pattern. The BIRO is a parti yorkie - also tricolored but not in a specific pattern. Biewers are bred to biewers. Parti yorkies can be bred to regular yorkies. I guess the only real way to tell the difference is thru genetic testing. I'm glad you found your baby. How did you find him??? Best wishes, Tracey |

| Don't throw rocks at me! But I found him on Craigslist. I was looking for a new kennel in the pet section for my boxer and I saw the ad for biewer and I thought ya right! It's a scam you don't find those here in Arizona! I had always wanted a yorkie and loved the colored of the parties I'm partial to multi colored dogs lol but never could see paying the price when every dog I've ever owned was a rescue. Anywho, I clicked on the ad and saw his picture and my heart melted and I contacted the lady who had him, thinking oh he is beautiful and probably gone already.. She went on to tell me she had him, someone was trying to come up with the money for him, she was moving to Germany and didn't want to take him with her, her husband and herself decided the 2 year job opportunity in Germany would be dog free. He was good with dogs, and I just wanted to check him with my toddler, and as soonas she saw him he jumped in her lap and started licking her. And now not even a week later he is here with us, and completed our family and has us all wrapped around his paws lol even the boxer pup hah!

| I believe that a Biro is the same as a Biewer, except it is the Chocolate color, not the blue/black color. They originated in Germany, like the Biewers... |

| No worries - lots of people find their pups on Craigslist. You're lucky that it wasn't a scam. He seems like such a great fit with your family. Don't worry about whether he's Biewer or Biro. It is really only important to a breeder. I'm sure he'll bring you a whole bunch of fun and love. Even tho he's small, he'll still be pretty feisty (major terrier trait.) I bet he'll take that boxer of yours to task too every once in awhile! Enjoy him!! Best wishes, Tracey |
