| Is it ok if all she eats is moistened with water? Josie hasn't ate much since I brought her home. She would act like she would eat a piece of dry kibble (the tiniest pieces I have ever seen) when I would put it next to her mouth but then she would just roll it around in her mouth and then spit it out like she couldn't chew it. This morning I was worried about her all she's doing is sleeping so I tried to give her some syrup but she wasn't having that either. Then I moistened her dry food with warm water and she has eaten a bit of that. Is it ok to continue mixing her food with water? I feel like I did when I was a new mother. Full of worry. |

| That's perfectly fine to add water to kibble. I sometimes add either a little canned food or just plain old water to kibble to increase Toki's water intake. So I'd definitely add water to your pup's food if it means she will eat enough of it |

| Thanks so much. I was hoping it was ok since that is all she wants. She has just had playtime for about 15 min then I put her back in her playpen and she chowed down on it. |

| If it gets her to eat, continue doing that. How old is she? You could also try mixing some wet food in with her dry food to soften it. It's just important that she eats

| Its fine to add water I have heard lots of new puppy owners have to do that. She is probably just trying to get used to her new surroundings but do you have a well puppy check vet appointment scheduled?

| What ever works. There is no harm in moistening the kibble. When Gracie was a puppy I tried about everything to get her to eat. It is a fallacy that dog's need dry kibble to clean their teeth so don't worry about that. There are many ways to keep her teeth clean but kibble is not one of them. Is she acting better since she ate? |

| Yes she has been playful since she ate. I'm going to try to get her to the vet tomorrow for her well puppy check. Thanks everyone for your advice. I really appreciate it. |

| That is fine. When she's a little more adjusted and settled, she'll likely eat it with or without water. Tibbe likes his both ways so I rotate wet and dry, adding canned to it even sometimes. But right now you have to just help her to eat, whatever it takes.
