| Don't laugh guys, but does Maxximus know when it's day or night? I noticed something yesterday, I had to put Maxx in his play yard because we were loading all of my products for me to set up a booth at a church function and he was going bananas. I put him in the crate with Shanti thinking he would do better with her...he climbed that crate like a rock climber and hung there meowing. I make all of my items in a dog and family free room I call the lab so i make sure he is safe when i cant eyeball him but when packing the truck, the door is open. He whines and meows like crazy if I have to put him in the play yard during the day but at night...nothing. Last night I put him in it, its in my bedroom with me and as I moved around cleaning and showering he sat like a good little man and just watched. When I leave out he makes no sound. He is fine at night. Almost like he knows it's nite nite time so u guess I will let her get away with it. But day time, Mommy, you need to just Yorkie shuffle and yes I'm on your toes. Lol. This wasn't the first time he did this just first time I really noticed he chills in lock up if it's dark out. But during the day he is like 'Aint NOBODY leaving NOBODY, Mommy Sorry so long, Yorkies just keep me thinking 'Wait.....Wut??' On another note, I got home and took him to play and MAXXIMUS WALKED/BUNNY HOPPED ON HARNESS!!!! Way to go big little dude!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Animals internal clocks are better than anything we've invented. Yes they certainly know the difference between daytime and nightime, and my two know when it's five minutes till three, daddy comes home at three!

| Do you sometimes take him places during the day? He could be hoping he gets to go some where. Or if he knows this is a signal that you may be leaving him during the day it could be that is getting him upset. Maybe he's pretty sure you are staying put at night time. Gracie picks up signals, too. She pretty much knows ahead of time if she is going with me when I leave or if she is staying home. I think it has something to do with what I wear and which purse I pick up, if any. She knows if I pick up the purse with keys that dangle off it that she is not going and lays down with her head on her paws and puts the pouting puppy face on. |

| My two definitely have amazing internal clocks. Breakfast time is 6:30 and I don't ever get to sleep in past then until I've fed them. They also know what time daddy comes home at. Yorkies are very smart

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Awh the amazing world of dogs! All dogs, no matter what breed. They hear, see, smell, "feel" the world in ways so different and in some so similar to humans. But yes of course dogs know the difference from day versus night. For sure of course they do, the play of shadows, the darkening light.
