| Pantene conditioner Hi there. . . My yorkie puppy is turning 7 months and from the time I got her (on 8 weeks) I bath her with a puppy shampoo and pantene smooth and sleek conditioner. I never had problems like dry skin or irritation. Has any one of you guys that are or had used pantene conditioner had a problem? Thanks. . . |

| I was wonder about that. If we can use people conditioner. I makd natural soaps so I do use that for nightly wipe downs and used a hairmilk that I mae using shea butter and coconut oils with no fragrance on his hair. All of my products are natural so I didnt see the harm. His coat was soft and shiny and he smelled delish. Plus the natural oils ajd butters are great for skin. Cant wait to hear about people conditioner though. I was thinking of adding a doggy line to my product list.

| I use Pantene Ice shine conditioner on my Teasell for a little over a year and a half. It makes her hair shiny and seems to really help with keeping away the tangles. Was recommended to me by a breeer I know here in NC |

| I always use Pantene conditioner after shampooing for Harry's weekly bath - just make sure you rinse + rinse + rinse..... I guess 'he's worth it'.... Sally + Harry x |

| We've used Pantene without any problems! I find that the "cleanliness" lasts a bit longer than when I've used dog shampoo/conditioner.

| I just got a rescued yorkie this Sunday and I am finding so much helpful information, taking lots of notes! My question is, is it ok to give my yorkie a bath every week? I heard it may dry the dogs skin too much. And do use regular people shampoo as well? some of these doggy shampoos smell awful. |

| As long as you rinse very very well, it's no problem to use a human conditioner. As for shampoo, something very mild and non-stripping is fine with thorough rinsing and as long as the pup is not itchy or flaky afterward. I have been using a cleansing conditioner (like Wen, but L'Oreal) on my hair and love it so much I think I will try it on my babies. I use baby shampoo on their face/head (No More Tears)

| It sounds like it shouldn't be a problem. We don't use conditioner, but I'm sure as long as you rinse well... it should be fine

| People shampoo has a different PH level than doggie shampoo...it's too drying for their delicate skin & hair. People conditioners are ok!

| I agree with mimimomo - people shampoos are not good for our little ones on a consistent basis (should be okay in an emergency - your fur butt rolled in animal pooh and you're fresh out of puppy shampoo). I use a puppy shampoo on both Jack and Izzy and have been using Pantene on Jack since we got him over 3 years ago with no issues and I have been using it on Izzy with no issues. Yes, you can bath your little ones weekly as their hair is more like our hair. Just rinse their coats our really good and you should be fine.

It's L'Oreal EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner. It's only one step, you put it into wet hair, and it has a slight lather to it. Leave in for a few minutes and rinse, and you're done I also have been using another brand of cleansing conditioner that I found at Sally's beauty supply. It's As I Am brand and it's called CoWash, it's a coconut oil based cleansing conditioner that moisturizes a little more than the L'Oreal stuff, and it's in a jar (I hate the pump on the L'Oreal, I need about 50 pumps to saturate my hair as it's very thick and past my shoulders, and also the pump doesn't put out a whole lot per pump) The jar is wonderful and it's also 16 oz for the same price as L'Oreal's 8 oz. I love the way both of them smell and am dying to try it on my babies. The CoWash is part of a line of hair care for African American hair, but since my hair can be very frizzy and dry, the lady at Sally's recommended it to me when I asked about cc's. Good luck

| I have been using Pantene conditioner on Piccolo for years and years. (But do use a dog shampoo) I really have not been able to find anything that works better than this product.
