Looking for a baby Yorkie I don't know if this is the right section to post this in, but here is the situation. Six years ago I was in a car accident and suffered a spinal cord injury. After years of physical therapy, and now a recent spinal surgery, I can walk (with the use of a cane) and am a stay-at-home mother of three. My husband works a lot of overtime. I have three daughters, and one son that resides in Heaven. I grew up with Yorkies (my mom has one now). My husband loves dogs as much as I do and always preferred big dogs, so we never aquired a Yorkie. Right now we have a 13 year old Brittany female that is on her last legs. We used to have a large breed dog but after my spinal surgery it was just not possible for me to walk it as it kept pulling me off balance and wanted to sit on my lap, which due to his size, was not possible. So after much discussion, my husband said I could have a Yorkie. However, he is not willing to pay several hundred dollars to aquire a dog as that would take from the vet fund (we have a savings account we put in to strictly for vet bills). So now I am looking for a male Yorkie puppy (under four months old) to raise. I would like a male since I already have three daughters - even our Brittany is a female!! I live in the Carolinas and my husband is willing to travel up to 5 hours to pick up the puppy (airplane rides are probably too stressful and the least amount of stress possible for all involved, including puppy, would be best). Anyway, I don't want to get scammed and I don't want anyone to feel like I'm scamming them. I am looking for a male Yorkie to adopt and love as a son to keep me company and to love me back. I am not expecting anything for free or handouts or pity. But I'm not overly rich either and as I said, hubby won't spend hundreds of dollars on a dog. So I guess what I'm saying is, I'm looking for a baby male Yorkie in the Carolinas for a very reasonable price, willing to travel up to 5 hours away. Please email me at carinhosa@comporium.net thanks. God Bless

I wish you the very best in your search for a little ! You'll probably be able to find one very near you if you look in your local paper. Also, go to the "sell/wanted" section at the bottom of the discussions page to see what is availiable. Last edited by Julz; 12-13-2005 at 07:44 AM.

| Welcome to YT! I'm sure there is a puppy out there for you. We do have a site for puppies for sale, you can check it out to see if there's one listed in your area. I hope you find your furbaby soon. It sounds like you would be a great Yorkie Mom. Again, Welcome!!!!

I am sure you have already cheked out the petfinders.org rescues, SaveAYorkie, United Yorkie rescue and probably several others. However, it is going to be extremely difficult to find a Yorkie PUPPY at any price during this season. Responsible breeders will not place during the high stress period of the holidays. AND, irresponsible breeders will jack up the price to way beyond the actual value of the puppy.. Best of luck in your search..

You might want to check with the rescue groups in your area. Many will take your application at this time but will not place until the Holiday season is over. Best of luck in finding your new baby for the coming year.
