| Do you think I am Weird Most of you know I have mut not a purebred yorkie. But after four purebred yorkies, let's say I had accumulated a few yorkie nick knacks. Since getting Lola I have really expand my yorkie junk, LOL I mean beautiful yorkie home accessory collection. I have a yorkie pillow, yorkie statues, Yorkie garden stakes, 3 yorkie purses, yorkie sandals, yorkie slippers, yorkie check book cover, yorkie salt and pepper shakers, yorkie tooth pick holder, yorkie wall hangings, yorkie flower pot, yorkie gift tags, yorkie gift bags, yorkie note pads, yorkie greeting cards, and now my new yorkie cookie jar. Well my Dad and my DH keep giving me crap, saying, why all this yorkie stuff she is not even a real yorkie LOL sometimes I have to admit I forget she is not a full yorkie. So do you guys think I am weird buying so much yorkie stuff, but her other half is pomeranian, which I don't even know how to spell I would never even think of buying any pom stuff and have still not been able to embrace that side of her. So do you think I am creating an identity crisis for Lola by refusing to acknowledge her pom heritage Oh and when I found her they referred to her as a Porky!!!! i could never say such a word, so she will always be my little yorkie-pom

| Lola sure looks more like the Yorkie side, and who cares, she's adorable and you can sure enjoy all things Yorkie if you like. Only one thing..... did you miss out on the Yorkie Print pajamas at Macys last year??? I heard they were adorable.

| Sounds like you have quite the collection going! I have started getting hooked on getting Yorkie stuff too. Everytime something new comes home, my husband raises his eyebrows. (Like yesterday when the Yorkie cookie jar came in the mail. ) I say enjoy and don't worry about her Pom side.

| She's so cute. You have the best of both worlds in one little dog ... I have a male yorkie and a female pom. Love them both to pieces. |

| I wouldnt worry about it. My Jaeger is a yorkie-doxie cross, a "dorkie" which is almost as bad as "porkie" in my opinion. We dont "hide" or "deny" his doxie side, but I've been around doxies for a long time, and aside from his deep bark, he seems to have mostly a yorkie personality. Now, I love doxies, and we got him primarily BECAUSE he was half doxie, but there's no denying he turned out more yorkie. Aside from the looooong body, and giant ears (he has doxie earss that stand up like a yorkies!) he gets mistaken for a yorkie by a lot of non yorkie owners when we're out in public.

| I had a friend who's house was completely decorated with pigs, and one who completely decorated with elephants. All their stuff was wonderful and adorable but neither owned a pig nor an elephant. My DIL has decorated a bathroom in cute little frog decor, but, again, does not own a frog that is not ceramic or paint. Back during the duck/goose "country" decorating days, I dare say most of the people who used those decorations did not own ducks or geese. I collect chess sets, but do not play chess...I just like the stone and crystal they are made out of. I cannot call anyone weird...not more weird than me, anyway. Why not collect what you like?

thanks guys I know I am not alone in yorkie collectable overload, but since Lola is not a purbred I was thinking people might think I was trying to hard to pretend she was, I think that is what my DH thinks.

| You aren't weird at all! I am working on my yorkie collection too I think Lola looks a lot more yorkie, so that might be why you don't even think about her pom side.
