| How do you clean your babies ears? So we went to the vet today for our last puppy shot (rabies) and got her recheck from where her cast came off. I had noticed her ears were smelly, so I brought it to the vets attention, she checked them over and then did an ear wash and gave her antifungal drops to use for a few days to ward off any infection that may have been starting. I wasnt able to have her groomed while she had her cast on, so since the cast came off, Ive been bathing her at home getting her used to it before she goes to the groomers to get her ears and face done. So the vet reccomended an ear wash every couple of weeks after she finishes her drops. How often and what kind of ear wash works best? |

| My vet gave me Epi-Otic and that's what I use it drys any moisture in the ears. My vet said you should clean there ears every time they get wet like a bath. Another thing is you should pluck the ear hair because that to can hold moisture.

| Yeah, I talked to the groomer that works out of my vets office, she said that she would pluck her ears when she shaped her up...I think that brand was what was at the vets office! |

| I use Epi-Otic every time I give baths also. Since I started using it a couple of years ago...no ear infections or smelly ears.

| We used VFT from our vet previously but now use Epi-otic its more acid and works better. Scoobers ears are dobe twice a week Elvis and Princess weekly. At the first sign of pain as Scoobers gets chronic ear infectiibs we use garlic oil, I also use nonistabt monthly on Princess sge gets chronic yeast infections

| I use Zymox ear cleanser at least twice a week, you can check it out here: Amazon.com: Zymox Ear Cleanser With Bio-Active Enzymes, 4 oz.: Pet Supplies When I had gone to the vet they told me it was ok to rub a hydrogen peroxide soaked cotton ball around the inside of the ear but it wasn't working and there's been some conflicting research about it anyway. |

| I second this. It's super important to keep the ears dry.

| We never go anywhere near their ears...too chicken. They do get their inner ear hair plucked by our vet-tech at the vet's office once every 6 months; they don't even flinch. Sprout is 13 years old and we've had him since he was 3 months - he's never had a problem. Bella is a year old and she doesn't have any issues either. However, I do place cotton balls in their ears before bathtime and remove them after they've been dried. |

| Use solution from vet - "F2/0" or something like that x2 a day for a week if the ears smell at all.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | We use these ear wipes we got at PetSmart once per day on KS, usually with her evening grooming. They are HERE. We only do the outer ear that we can reach. We do not go too far down in there. Then she gets groomed about once a month and they pluck her ear hair. We also use cotton balls when giving her a bath so she does not get water in her ears.
