| Looking for a good back seat protector for travel. I was looking at some in the Petedge online catalog but I'm not sure which one is best. We have cloth seats in the truck so it has to be something that will protect the seats...just in case...and something that is washable...just in case...cuz Miss Maddie isn't 100% over the carsick stage. What brand do you use? Do you use one that just covers the seat or the kind that attaches to the headrests of the front seat and covers the floor and seat in the back? |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Well it's not really a cover for the seat, but we use a Snoozer carseat for Katie Scarlett. Of all the things we have bought her, it has been one of the best purchases. She had gotten sick twice in the car before we got the Snoozer. I had her in her carrier each time. Well the first trip and every trip since (which is almost daily) she has been fabulous in the car. No sickness at all. The Snoozer elevates her up so she can see out and I think that helps her. We drive back and forth to see family (a 12 hour drive) quite frequently and she does great in it. And the cover for it is removeable so it can be washed. I'm not sure if it is what you are looking for, but here is the link to the one we got. I got ours in pink vinyl so it can easily be wiped down. I have washed it in the machine one time. Snoozer Lookout I Pet Car Seat- All Other Fabrics - Snoozer Pet Car Seats - Dog Car Seats Hope that will help some! Good luck to you!

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I noticed quite a few interesting options on their site here as well: Pet Car Seat Covers - Dog Car Seat Cover - Snoozer Pet Products Check out amazon and ebay too. I always find neat stuff on there.

| My son uses the Petrider seat protector for his big dog in his work truck and it is very inexpensive.

| Yes, I stated that in one of my other posts...we will be using seat belts for them when we travel. >>Yes, I do like the Snoozer car seat...thank you, but I still need something to protect the seat underneath. I usually put their beds on the seat and they like to trade spots sometimes but I have since bought seat belts for them so a seat protector, bed and seatbelt will be the plan for our next trip.<< |

| I think you can Google it and find the website or the "As Seen On TV" website - they might sell it. I bought one for my son from the telephone number advertised on TV in December of last year but they were all over the internet I found out later. I think they are $19.99 plus S&H - direct cheap and the shipping was fast.

| It's not tailored to fit the seat or anything, but the best seat protector I've used is a cheap flannel backed vinyl table cloth. $5 or less at wal-mart, dollar store, etc. This time of year you can find them everywhere, lots of cute patterns. The flannel side keps it from sliding around and the vinyl serves as a moisture barrier and is super easy to clean. Best of all, it's so cheap once you're done with it you can toss it if it gets messed up on the trip. |
