| Just for general handling and training of dogs, I like Tamar Geller's The Loved Dog.

Would this include house training? I looked at the book online on Amazon and it doesn't mention it in the briefing of the book. Last edited by coantrimgirl; 08-28-2012 at 01:37 PM. | |

| Yes and chapters on basic commands and a good way to establish a great relationship with your dog while training him with kindness that you are leader. She makes it very simple.

| I enjoyed Perfect Puppy in 7 Days (Sophia Yin). Perfect Puppy in 7 Days: How to Start Your Puppy... . I bought it on my Kindle & I wish I had gotten a hard copy. It has photos in it & it just doesn't look all that great on a Kindle. I also considered getting The Puppy Primer (Patricia McConnell). The Puppy Primer: Patricia B. McConnell:... Dog Sense (John Bradshaw) is a good one, although a bit controversial. Dog Sense: How the New Science of Dog Behavior...
