| Cold feet I don't know if anyone has experienced this but I totally got cold feet a day before my 8 month old Prince Charms surgery to be desexed!!! He was scheduled to go through with the procedure tomorrow 8/25/12, OMG I looked at how the surgery is performed online and just got scared for him. I feel I need to do more research and wait until after he turns 1 year before getting him neutered!!! I know they say there are more pros to it than cons but goshhhhh! I just couldn't have him go through it yet.He was also suppose to get teeth pulled at the same time due to his baby teeth not falling out and adult teeth coming in. Oh boy! Im just a mess right now! Has anyone else gone through this???

| Ohh noo dont worry!! Everything will be fine! I use to be a vet tech and I assited the Vet in spays and neuters, trust me the neuter sx is simple and fast!! Its normal to be nervous, just keep yourself busy keep your mind busy and before you know it they will call you and tell you he is done and everything went fine!! are you doing the pre blood work?

| I don't flip out over vet visits anymore. My 12 year old had to go down for anesthesia three times in four months this year. Don't worry, you're little guy will be fine!

| Get it done. The male surgery is so much easier than the female surgery and they recover quickly. We all freak out about taking our babies to have them spayed or neutered. It always works out for the best. |

| I already chickened out and canceled first thing Friday Morning when i got to work! I know I will eventually have him undergo the procedure.. I just totally punked out! I keep thinking the neutering is going to change his character. He is spunky and feisty I don't want it to change into him being lazy and uninterested. Im sure I will reschedule his appointment before the end of the year. However thanks everyone for making me feel better. Maybe if I would have come here first for support I would have kept the appointment. Well the advice makes me stronger for next time...

| Oh, don't worry about him becoming lazy and fat. That only happens when a dog has an owner that makes the dog sit around and get fat......and there are a lot of them out there. Your pet will be just as active as you are. Spaying and neutering has nothing to do with it. Dogs love to be active just as much after surgery as before. |

| Blood Work ? He should do just fine. Did your vet talk to you about Pre-anaesthetic blood work ? if not I would ask about it & get that done to be on the safe side & IF all is well with the blood work then there should be no problem. |
