| Yorkie hair!!!!! My Yorkie is 14 weeks old. His hair - certainly seems to leave something to be desired. Have any of you had puppies with extremely thin hair? Did it get thicker with time? Also - I don't care what color his hair is, but within the last week or two, he has started growing white/silver roots all over (body, sides, belly, etc). This seems to be replacing his black hair. And the black on his face is being replaced with a light tan. And - I think he may have a cotton coat, but have never had a Yorkie before, so can't be sure. His hair is thin - seemingly straight - but is very soft and does seem to matte near the roots. His hair is also very oily. I think that what I am going to have to do is wait and see what happens in the next six months or so. Fun fun fun!!! And in spite of his funny little coat of hair, he is as cute as he can be. **** I remember my little PooPom went through a puppy stage where her hair looked terrible -- but became very nice after that. Do Yorkies go though a stage like this? Carol Jean |

| My dog is a little older than yours. She has the same thin hair. I love how it's a surprise what she will turn out looking like. Your's sounds too cute. Can't wait to see pics! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali is now 6 months old and she had pretty scraggly looking coat tto. Yesterday I gave her a bath, she hasn't had one for a month because of her cough, well I used the CC shampoo and blew dried her and I couldn't believe my eyes she looks like a real Yorkie. Her coat is getting longer and a little thicker. I think the combination of the CC shampoo and time has changed her from a puppy look to a more adult look. So I would give it time. also, I have been using a spray on her food that has salmon oil and Omega 3 an 6 in it. Even my husband and dtr noticed how beautiful she looked.

| Chachi has a cotton coat and if all cotton coats are like his you will know that your dog has it. We have to keep him cut short because his hair matts all over the place if we dont. My female has a silk coat and I let it grow and the only place I get any matts is where I put the topknot in sometimes.

| Well - I'm pretty sure my little guy has a cotton coat. But, I cut him short and he's looking good. I can't believe how "silver" he is getting. And it's still changing almost daily. I'm talking most about the hair on his back, sides, and belly. The rest of him is an assortment of other colors, mostly different shades of tan with some black still showing. Actually, he is a very colorful little Yorkie right now - but who knows what he will end up being. I am still hoping that some of his oiliness will go away. And, I am expecting, from what I have read that his coat will become thicker as he gets older. He's cute - what can I say! Carol Jean |

| Brendy - her hair will probably get thicker as she gets older. If she has silky hair --you're lucky. Carol Jean |
