| Something is 'not right' with Fletcher About 3 weeks ago, Fletcher got diagnosed with MILD HGE. He was on meds, prescription food and got fluids for days. He's been doing well since then. Lately he's been acting off though. VERY clingy to me. Then he'll randomly jump down and go hide under our bed or if the door is closed he'll go in his bed in the kitchen. He seems to be having more & more accidents in the house. He is VERY timid and scared of everything. This morning he didn't get up to walk me out the door like he usually does and when I went home on lunch to check on him, he didn't greet me (which nearly gave me a heartattack mind you) he also did not take his treat. Yesterday when I was leaving I heard him HOWLING soooo long and loud from inside the house, I went back and got him and took him for the ride, it broke my heart. He is constantly grooming his brother, all the time. When he was sick he had a full blood work panel done, and he had another one when he was better. He is fine, blood wise. The vet did an exam and he seemed fine health wise, aside from slightly overweight. I think this is personality. Although im thinking about having xrays done to make sure there is nothing inside of him forming, like in his brain or lungs or anything. However, he eats fine, he drinks fine. He is still active. He runs around outside in the yard just fine. No physical ailments as far as I can tell, like limps or cuts or anything. He jumps in the pool and swims around. He jumps off and on the couch/bed with no problems, so pain does not seem to be an issue. Oh another thing is, we are redoing the floor in our living room and got new furniture. So I wonder if he's nervous about all the chaos or changes. Although he's been acting weird off and on for awhile now, granted there is always something going on in our house! Does this sound weird to anyone else? Im starting to get concerned and thinking of taking him for a FULL exam. I know you'll all probably tell me to start there anyways and I will... but I just wanted to know if anyone else has ever seen a change of personality like this in their dog. In all appearances, and blood work panel, he is healthy.

| I am sorry that this is happening to Fletcher... It really sounds like he is freaked out. I agree and think that a full exam would probably be best to ensure there isn't something weird going on.

| Yeah I know. The thing is he's freaked out ALL the time. It breaks my heart that he can't ever seem to relax. He barks at thunder, airplanes, birds (anything in the sky), he bolts away from the kids (who are not small, they are 16 & 18 and good to them). He's afraid when my husband (whom he adores) moves too quickly or scuffs his feet on the floor. He freaks when anyone claps, yells or makes noise about something. He will run and hide if I sneeze (which is a lot lately due to allergies). The list goes on & on. Its very odd behavior!
