| Well I would not get a boy if your girl is not fixed but if if you girl is fixed either would probably be a great sibling for her. If you are getting a puppy from a breeder you want to make sure the parents are an excellent example of the breed (following the standard), that both parents have genetic testing to make sure they are not passing genetic illnesses to the pups, that they are AKC, that the pups are not leaving there mother until 12 weeks old, health guarantee, the breeder should not be breeding many dogs at one time or mixed breeds, also make sure you go and see where the pups are living, and don't buy from a breeder who keeps there pups outside all the time or in out buildings like sheds. Please never buy from a puppy mill no good breeder would ever sell there dogs to a pet store no matter what a pet store will tell you. Adopting from a shelter is also a great idea if you have the money and time because some rescues have health issues or training issues but can be the best pets. Finding a good breeder can be hard but worth it.

| There is a breeder referral person on the link I am putting here. These people can get you in touch with reputable breeders in your area. You can also do a search for other clubs in other states. American Kennel Club |

| I adopted my female when my male was about 2.5 years old and they get along great. He was of course neutered at 6 months, so when I brough her home... there weren't any issues. I had her spayed at 8 months and they get along fantastically. Good luck in your search!
