| Anyone Have Problems Feeding Cheese??? I have always used chicken for treats when training my babies but last night after reading on here how much some of the little ones loved cheese and not having any chicken boiled up I decided to try cheese. Long story short both my babies have loose stools today . I feel so bad they only got a half slice of cheese split between the 2 of them. We didn't give them anything else different and now both are sickly . They are eating and drinking fine but their energy level isn't what it usually is.

| Aw, poor kids Mine both love cheese and do fine with it. A lot of dogs are lactose intolerant. Hope they are feeling better quickly

| Since they are not used to milk products it may have been a shocker to their little bellies. I don't give much cheese and when I do it is usually made from skim milk and not a traditional cheese. Some of the string cheeses are made from skimmed milk. |

| My girl spit some up years ago. The only kind I consider now is low fat cottage. Not only are there lactose issues for some dogs, but. it is a rich food. I can easily get a stomach ache from it, so I would not want to give it to the pups. So many do ine with it, but it isn't worth the risk to me.

| They both seem back to them old selves now except for still soft stool so we know now no more cheese for them.

| Probably some lactose intolerance. It tends to give our pup some trouble at times. I tend to avoid too much 'cultured' foods with them anyway. |

| Peek A Boo came down with pancreatitis from eating cheese. He can eat a tiny bit or two now, but for training I use Cheerios.

| The only problem I have with cheese with Sophie Kate is she always wants it. I use cheese only for giving her pills however she now knows that cheese is like her "thing" and if you open the cheese compartment in the frig she starts dancing and spinning like a ballerina. Sophie Kate is on a very strict diet, no people food due to pancreatits but she is allowed one small bite of cheese with her pills. I haven't had a problem so far (thank goodness). My neighbors husband was grilling burgers on the grill one evening when we were over there, Sophie Kate was standing guard of the grill, when he opened the cheese she went NUTS. It scared him, he thought she had gotten stung by a Bee the way she was dancing and spinning.

| Brody loves cheese. Mia 'might' eat it or might not....first dog I've ever had that didn't LOVE cheese! Cheese doesn't bother them from a digestive standpoint, though.
