Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | We have before. My husband loves bananas on many things like cereal, even to make a sandwhich out of them. He always gives one tiny slice to Katie Scarlett. We have to hold it or she will not eat it. I think it's because if I put it on the kitchen floor it slides and she doesn't like that. LOL. But she adores a bit of banana.

| Dexter likes a little bit when I have some. He likes to get a bit of everything I'm eating though! I think he likes the sweetness |

| I've had dogs that like bananas and ones who don't. Brody has eaten them, though sometimes he 'wants' them more than 'eats' them. I think Mia likes them, too. They don't eat a lot of banana, though...not like they would bacon or something...just a couple pieces then they're done.

| Harry likes banana...but only when my dad gives him a piece? And again, only when it's held or else it slides all over their kitchen floor. If we give him a slice, he doesn't want to know.... Sally + Harry x |

| She sure can! Fresh fruits and veggies are a much-welcomed treat by most dogs. I copied this from an article on healthydogs4life.com that I found really informative! Hope that helps! >>> When To Feed Fruits The thing about bananas, and fruit in general, is the amount of sugar that they contain. Fruits require a certain digestive enzymes to break them down, and this enzyme is different from the one used to break down vegetables and meat. Because of this, if you feed fruits with vegetables and meats to your dog, they will not get fully digested. The sugary, undigested part sits in their digestive system and ends up aiding the growth of bad bacteria, which can lead to digestive and other health problems. So the key to feeding fruits to your dog is when to feed it. If you are feeding your dog a fruit before a meal, make it 1 hour before. This should give ample time for the fruit to get digested before the meat and vegetables. If you are feeding after a meal, wait at least 2 hours after they have eaten. This way, the meat and vegetables have digested enough for the fruit to get digested properly. What Fruits To Stay Away From: Avocado – a debated topic, but most people agree – just do not feed it Grapes and Raisins – do not feed Dehydrated fruits – these are just way too high in sugar content – feed fresh fruit instead. How Much Fruit To Feed While fruits have certain beneficial nutrients, they also have a lot of sugar, especially bananas, which is probably why dogs love bananas so much (apples and blueberries seem to be a close second favorite). So feeding fruits often really isn’t such a good idea. You should also feed an amount that is appropriate to the size of your dog. A teacup poodle should only get a small portion of fruit, while a mastiff can probably eat a whole piece of fruit. But again, you should only feed fruit occasionally, like a treat, once or twice a week at most. |

| My little Ellie LOVES banana. She prefers it frozen and she normally gets it after we have been outside and she is hot! |

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | My two love bananas! They only get a slice or two maybe once a week though. Usually when I'm having one...and usually in the middle of the day.

| Fresh yes Dehydrated may harm teeth if too hard and I personally worry about choking if they are gummy. Mine eat bananas almost daily.

| I disagree on feeding bananas. I don't feed them. My dogs generally have fresh veggie treats instead.

| You have to find the right texture for your dog but we have never done them hard enough to harm teeth and I normally brake them into bite size pieces but anything can be a choking hazard or bad for there teeth personally I think raw bones and Himalayan bones are to hard for there teeth and dehydrated banana are no where near that hard at least not mine.
