| Just Curious........ I am a newbie and I love YT. This is my first Yorkie and the first time I have ever joined a forum. I love this site..it really is addictive!!!!My attachment and love for Vivi go beyond description .. That said, here is my question for the group. Are we unique in our devotion? Do other breed specific forums exist? When I had golden retrievers, whom I loved dearly, it never even occured to me to seek out a forum. This forum actually found me by posting an article about my artwork and my inspiration(my yorkie of course!!!) For this I am grateful. Anyone have insight into this?????

| I don't have any insight into it, but Yorkies do seem to have a strange effect on people. I think it's because they bond so completely with "the chosen" person. They are a constant companion, ever sensing your moods, emotions. I have never seen a dog with this kind of bond. I can see why alot of older people have Yorkies. You are never lonely with a Yorkie.

| Yes there are! My friends are registered on forums based on their dog breeds. So I know they have forums for pugs, chihuahuas, poodles, maltese...I dont see why they shouldnt have forums for other breeds as well.

| forums i also visit Boxerworld.com. It is almost exactly like this. I don't think I was quite as addicted as I am now though! I am on YT all the time I think. I am sure it will get progresively worse until I get my Yorkie puppy in February! |

| I know everyone who has a Yorkie thinks they are the most wonderful dog in the world. But, believe me, all the other breed owners are just as bad ---even some of the little mutt owners are bonkers over their dog. And - I belong to the "BirdTalk forum." It is every bit as bad, if not worse, than this one. Just goes to show that all animals and pets in the world are wonderful and loved for what they are. I love and adore Yorkie, but would never think they are more special than anyone else's dog or other pet. I have a Bichon - and had a PooPom -- both are adorable! Carol Jean |

| well we're not actually unusual. lol there are other forums out there for other breeds with owners who love them just as much as we love our yorkies. I agree with you though, this forum is great! I've learned a lot from the intelligent people on here.

| Don't get me wrong...we loooove Flash dearly, but I do have more of a bond with Trixie. Then again, Flash is Taylor's dog, Trixie is mine. |

| I have other animals...a cat, and even a shih-tzu that's my "part-time baby" (he's my grandparents dog but he lives there AND here), but there was just something about Kelli...and she's the reason that we're making our next baby a Yorkie, too. I never realized how much I LOVED the breed, truly loved the breed, until we had her. I always wanted one, but we got her and that was just it. I was so excited when I found this forum, it was SUCH a help through all of the things that we experienced being first-time yorkie parents. Someone else described it perfectly, but the bond between a yorkie and it's chosen family is just wonderful and so sweet. To see Kelli's excitement when each of us would come home or even when we'd take her to relative's houses to play...she just loved EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. They're such special little babies.
