| What is best for my Goat..errr Yorkie??? Good evening my YTers, I need your help Strudel LOVES to chew on things....my pillows, the rug, my mom's dogs' leash, my shoe boxes (thank goodness not my shoes), paper, and pretty much anything he can quickly get a hold of. Luckily he hasn't destroyed anything because he is never left alone so I get the item away from him very quickly, but its obvious he loves chewing and I want to make my baby happy. He has a TON of toys but all of them are plush sqeakies and I don't know how much fun those are to chew on...it would seem something firmer would be moore fun. What toys would you suggest for a Yorkie who loves to chew? Also He LOVES to bury his toy, especially his favourite one-a squeaky blue bear. He literally will run around the house CRYING with his toy in his mouth because he can't find a place to bury it LOL, its not funny but it is! He usually tries to bury it under a pillow or something if he can climb his way to the couch. My previous yorkie would bury his toys and treats too so I am sure other YT's furbabies like to do this...has anyone created something to fufill their need to bury? He never does this in dirt, just like he never rolls in dirt/grass only on the carpet lol...hes definitley a housebaby....any ideas?

| I give Churpi Chews (Himalayan Dog Chew) and Bully Sticks. A washcloth is perfect for "burying" a chew or toy, so is the dirty laundry in the basket, a shoe, or simply stuffed under the couch where they can't reach it and have their human practice their retrieving skills. |

We get our bully sticks and Himalayan chews from Best Bully Sticks online...some pet stores will charge you ridiculous prices for those...Toki likes the spiral shaped bully sticks that allow her to hook her little paw in a ring for easy holding. I've also heard the spiral shape helps clean their teeth better but I don't know how much truth there is to that. Either way, Toki goes nuts over them! I also will recommend the low-odor kind. They still stink but not nearly as bad as the regular bully sticks! The Himalayan chews don't smell too much...just a little like parmesean or something. And I like that tip about the washcloths...I think that will be more satisfying for Toki than nosing her treats under my laptop cable or along the side of a puzzle box or inside a flip-flop lolol. | |

| Charlie burys too, and I leave the bed unmade or blankets out on his bed or our couch for him. He too will run around the house whimpering if he has something to hide and nowhere to do it. He is very serious about his bones and toys, it is very fun to watch.

| The himalayan chew is made out of some sort of dried cheese. They are supposed to be long lasting. I have tried a few kinds of bully sticks and I can tell you that some brands are better than others. My girl is fairly small but I buy her the 12" long regular sized bully sticks. They are big enough that she cannot really eat the things but she loves to chew on them. I use the Best Bully brand and have never had a problem with them like I did a few of the other brands. If they are too soft and the dog can actually chew pieces off then they have not been treated properly. |

| I just ordered some Himalayan chews and am excited for the girls to try them Luna isn't much of a chewer, but Izzy can destroy a bullystick in an hour, and that's the 12" one I'm hoping these last longer than the bullies with her, they are kind of expensive.
