| Bike trailer I am so excited that I had to share what I did this weekend..... I bought a used bike trailer on craigslist for my two yorkies. I have a bike basket that they like but sometimes it is too long of a ride for them to be comfortable so with the bike trailer they have more room and I don't have to worry about them getting stuff in their eyes. I do however still latch them in for extra safety mesures. I took them for a test ride and they loved it. They were sleepy little girls when we got home. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | That's awesome! Picture, please! I got what's called a B.O.B. trailer for my mountain bike and have tried my dogs in it from time to time. The problem is, it's uncovered. I strap them in on a short leash, but I still worry that they might try to leap off the side while I'm riding. So I don't use it anymore. I think a covered trailer would be perfect. Here's mine. I wouldn't recommend it if you've got "adventurous" dogs! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...r-img_4812.jpg http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...r-img_4811.jpg

| Your babies are so cute! I would be a nervous wreck with my girls on something like that. One of my girls is disabled and has a difficult time w balance and motor control. I will post a pic when I can get them in there again and if I don't have issues w posting them. |

| I wanted to get a trailer for Callie but she sometimes gets car sick so I was afraid she would get bike sick.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I think a crate would fit and might be a good solution. In a perfect world, I'd want something that they could see out of and enjoy the ride. A crate on a bike doesn't sound like a lot of fun for the dogs, but it would be safe.

| You can get the all wire crate instead of the plastic... but I know what you mean. My girls do like being in the bike basket with all the fresh air blowing in their face but longer rides they get squirmie and thats when I get worried. |

| I just bought a used one that is made for kids. It is a bit overkill for two yorkies that weigh 3 and 4 lbs. I paid $50 and it is enclosed. I put a pillow on the bottom so that they can look out without any problems. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Sounds perfect. I like the wire crate idea. Might have to try it again. It's been 4 years since I tried it.

| Would this work? I saw it at target and wondered ifmaggie would fit. She could stand up in it. She is 10 pounds approx. not sure if I could handle her in it on my bike. Bell Bike Handlebar Quick Release Basket - Black : Target |

It's called a B.O.B. trailer if you want to Google it. Kinda pricey. I've got the cheaper version with no shocks.

I'll have to see if my distributors carry that brand. We mostly deal with city and road brands but maybe I could get that.
