| What a scare! I swear Adie has nine lives. First she almost dies when she is seven weeks old then her brother decides to catch his jaw in her collar and choke her nearly to death whe she is 4; now this! Yesterday I was pulling out of the garage on my way to work when I spotted a little brown dog at the outside front corner of the garage. Of course I stopped to see if I could help only to find out it was Adie! We have an attached garage so she slipped out of the kitchen door (dh had opened it to yell something at me) cross the garage BEHIND the moving car and evidently avoided the garage door closing on top of her. As soon as I opened the car door she raced to me so I could pick her up. I'm pretty sure she was just trying to go WITH me. When I carried her back into the house I yelled at my dh asking him if one of the dog's is missing. When he saw that I was holding Adie he knew he was in trouble. Now he loves her as much as I do so I couldn't stay mad at her and he is usually extremely careful about not letting the dogs out. And as a rule they are all pretty well trained to stay back when we leave. But no one told them to stay so Adie must have figured it was worth a try. Sigh. I sure hope she makes it to a ripe old age. |

| I've had 3 Yorkies and have often wondered how any of them make it past 1 year from the stunts they pull!!! Glad you saw that little brown dog when you did. Could have been a bad day had she tried to follow your car down the street or something. I guess some dogs have 9 lives like cats!

| Been there and done that. It has happened at least once with both of my furbabies. That is why I am extra careful now when I leave out of the garage. I never open the garage door until I'm sure no one followed me out and even then I pulled out very slowly. This just happened with my cat (she's an indoor cat), if she hadn't meow I would of ran her over or she would of gotten out. Mind you except for the occassional visit to the vet, she hasn't been outside in 13 yrs. They do know how to scare you don't they? |

| Lou, I put a gate at my garage door. It is right across the doorway and it is a life saver! You might want to think of doing that...

I have baby gates across EVERY exit door in my home, except the front door, and that area is "fenced and cross fenced" in several areas leading to escape out the front door.....they would have to get through at least 2-3 baby gates or around ex-pens to gain access to that exit! These babies are so small and fast, they can scamper past you and all you catch is the air on your leg as they dart by, unnoticed! | |

| So glad this story had a happy ending. Something like this, was what caused my gray streaks.
