| mixed up litters the woman i got sirius from called and said she may have mixed up the litters she had and he may be 12 weeks old. i am sure she lied to me about him. at the vet sat he weighed 3 pounds! he is supposed to be 8 weeks old. what do all of you think. my vet guesses he will be on the large side around 10 pounds. but he said he is a pure breed yorkie. i love him no matter what. is it possible to mix up a litter that bad? personally i think not. the vet also thinks that he was not wormed he had tapeworms. at least now he is in a home that loves him. |

| I believe it could happen if the breeder is careless. If your baby wasn't even dewormed I would say she is careless.

| i don't know about the mix up but dogs get tapeworms from fleas. nala had tapeworms when i got her and the vet told me that even if she got fleas from my house that the fleas that caused the tapeworms more than likely came from the breeder. so even if you haven't seen any fleas make sure you check |

| If he is 12 weeks now instead of 8 it seems like his weight should be around 6 lds since you take the 12week weightx2. My breeder told me my puppy was 8 weeks old when it was 6 weeks old. My breeders also a 65 year old lady!!!

| I should've went to the vet right when i got my puppy, (i just got her this past sunday) but complications with work, etc. have me waiting until next week. So the breeder say's my Kelsey has had all of her shots, etc. So we will see..i go to the vet she took her too for a free examination. Im new to all of this, so im a little scared. She has been biting and scratching her neck, most likely for fleas. |
