| What about using a facial cleaner? That way you can wash the face but not the entire body. I use kissy face pet facial scrub. It has a small brush you can purchase with it that is perfect for in between bathes. Kissy Face Pet Facial - Le Pet Petite Boutique

| I also use baby wipes on the face and the behind (at night). I think they are refreshing and Sophie Kate seems to like to be wiped down.

| I just use a washcloth with warm water and a little fluffy Bio-groom tearless puppy shampoo to wash their faces. My dogs eat home cooked food, so I wash their faces twice a day in this manner. Even long-haired Teddy stays clean with this method.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It could be two things as well, tears might be causing it to be wet all the time and a yeast infection could be the reason it smells. If the beard has a reddish quality, its red yeast and you'll need a vet’s help to clear it up. Yorkies tear a lot when they are teething; many people have used Gerber's baby water, sold in a gallon at Walmart, with great results. It has less minerals that tap water. Another cause of the smell could be the result of teething, pups are losing teeth at this age and the smell of rotting food in the old tooth sockets and blood can cause a bad smell. At three months you pup is teething. Some show breeders use a pet drinking bottle to avoid getting their beards wet.

| I just had to bathe Zoey yesterday because of facial stink. I tried to wash her face with shampoo (doggy, of course) but it still stunk. I use facial wipes every day after she eats since she eats raw food. I think I need something stronger than Paul Mitchell's pet wipes. I'll try baby wipes.
