| If you ever need a home for her... How many times have you guys heard this from people that have met your dog? On one hand, it's flattering. On the other, it's annoying. As long as I'm still breathing, I'll never need a home for my dog. She has one with me. I've actually had people offer to buy Gabby from me. Now that really strokes me against the grain.

| I hear that frequently. And the part that really gets me is that they don't *know* my dogs at all! They are basing their "offer" upon the fact that they are cute and ( in this case) small! I wonder what they would do if someone actually said "okay ~ here you go, she is all yours"

| I hear that all the time with Yoshi and Prissy, I used to just say no thank you they are my family..Now I will jokingly say ok, now are you ready for the grooming and vet bills? Plus all of the reventive meds, combing, bathing and cleaning up after them..I usually get a big ole OH NO look and love it. LOL, love it.

| It is probably their way of giving a compliment or making sall talk. People say the strangest things

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I'm sure it's just a compliment and the fact that your dogs aren't barking at them the whole time! Nobody ever says that about Joey!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | LoL I've only had one offer for Magic, and that when he was 15mths old...twas a good offer, and a serious one. He was doing his temperament test, and he so impressed the chief examiner, she talked with hubby after testing was done, and said "would you consider selling him to me?" Dave laughed and told her; Only if I have a death wish; my wife would kill me!!

| I think it was meant as a compliment. I had someone pretty much say the same thing to me and I asked if they were willing to sell their house to afford her. They looked really dumb founded and I added........just kidding, I would never sell her for any amount of money. We talked on our walks from then on, however about a year after she did purchase a yorkie with my help. She then continued to tell me, she bought one of the cheap ones.

| I think it's some people's way of complimenting your dog & when it happens to me & any Yorkie I have had, I just smile & shake my head saying I can't get along without them.

| I had someone ask if I was planning to breed him-she had a female daschund that had recently had puppies. I quickly explained that he was already neutered, and gave her information on where she could get it down at a low cost. I tell you what, if by some freak of nature we ended up with a pregnant dog, I would keep them all until they were big enough to be fixed, then find them homes. Too often down here, no one fixes their animals. |

| I have never had people say that to me but I have had family say I'm just gonna take her home with me or I want a dog just like Callie. My aunt told me when shes ready to get a yorkie I have to come and help her pick one out because Callie is so great lol.

| I like this post, it makes me smile. I might not be able to buy a house for the money I have spent on my Yorkies, but a nice car, oh yep, I sure could !
