| Tropical Storm Debby How many of us live in the forecasted area? I do! Although they are having a difficult time predicting the path I went ahead and made sure that the bag we take on trips with us for our pets was well stocked. My prayer is that the storm does not intensify much more and everyone comes out of it safe!

| I have seen some pictures of the surf in Pensacola, Florida--it's ROUGH. The beaches in Alabama are closed to swimmers. Our weathermen are still reporting that this storm is being difficult to project the path. They're saying we will know more in about 24 hours.

| Yeah, my DH was out early this AM picking up things in the yard. We still have a few things to do yet, but we definitely not panicking. We're keeping The Weather Channel on and the local news. I'm REALLY praying that Debby Downer does not slow down and strengthen. Everyone who got pounded a couple weeks ago by the rain better prepare for more water! |

| I live in Pace, FL. 15 mins outside Pensacola. We are keeping an eye on it as well. I hope it doesn't get bad enough to lose electricity my little girl gets really sick when she gets hot she has trouble cooling down, so we have to keep her cool all the time. I am praying it just comes in with rain, but nothing major. |

When we lived in Ocala I kept a 'go-go'bag ready all the time and I had 2 pantries in the garage with canned goods and ready to eat foods. I would switch them out every once in a while and use the ones that were there and replace them with new stock. We also kept an extra tank of propane for the grill and a charcoal grill on hand just in case. You never know with these storms... Stay safe! | |

| Hoping everything is okay. Has the storm gone or still hanging around. Any damage so far? I pray not. Please be safe.

| Glad the OP has a go bag for her pets. As an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Public Health, I speak about personal preparedness to civic groups throughout the county. Its all well and fine to be ready to get you famility out...but as important to get your pets too...THEY ARE FAMILY too I reccomend every one go to www.ready.gov and check out ways to prepare you and your family to respond to the types of disaster/emergencies that can happen in your area. Remember there is power in being prepared...there is only panic if your complacent.
