| Need help/Advice please Hello everyone, Im pretty new here and I have a huge question! Lol Well, my Yorkie I got back in October of '11 (Beau) he is really a friendly guy, loves attention and is extremely friendly to humans. He humps this lil stuffed bear I bought for my wife back on Valentine's Day, kinda fun to watch so we let him have at it. He is neutered. So to my point, he is extremely aggressive to other dogs! My best bud has a Pug mix who is real friendly and playful and whenever he goes near Beau, he just snaps, sometimes there is a warning growl, other times there is no growl just a quick snap and attack. We took him to the dog park and all other dogs are trying to be friendly and same thing, he just snaps, he is about to be 4yrs and its really embarrassing to have him snap like that at all times whenever around other dogs. Does anyone know why this would be happening? Does anyone know what steps I can take to adjust/correct this? Thanks and great forum btw!!! |

| It sounds to me like he is fearful and not sure how to act around other dogs. Here is a great training site for issues like yours....SATZ_Main : Safe_Alternative_Teaching_Zone Good luck! |
