| Advice needed... Hi everyone! My hubby is going in for surgery this Friday for a back fusion and will be in the hospital at least 3 days. The hospital is over an hour from our home so I will be staying closer to the hospital. A friend of mine has offered to take Hope for us while he is in the hospital but Hope is only 14 weeks old and this will be her first time away from home. My friend has a 6 month old yorkie girl and a small poodle. I plan of taking her playpen with bed, her own food, water bowls and toys. Any advice on how I can make this transition easier for my girl? I feel terrible leaving her already but know I can't take her to the hospital and don't want to leave her alone in the room all day. Thanks for any advice you can offer! |

| She will be ok. She may cry, but she will have other pups to keep her occupied and I'm sure your friend will see that she is well-cared for. You will probably worry about her more than she will worry where you are. She is still young enough that she will still be more curious about her new environment and new friends. I would toss in a t-shirt that you've worn or jammie top. They love to snuggle on clothes you've worn and she will be more comfortable.

| Give her a T shirt or blankie with your scent on it to help comfort her. She should do fine.

| Thanks for the reassurance. I didn't think of the idea of a t-shirt with my scent. I will definitely do that! You guys are the best! : ) |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I agree she will miss you but will probably have a blast with the other dogs. Praying your husband has a speedy recovery.
