| What Makes Yorkies York? Scientific data about dog breeds in the LA Times today. Yes, there are diseases that are particular to this and every other breed but there are a lot more good qualities that can be bred right out of them. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...home-headlines "There are angry breeds, mean breeds, calm breeds and nice breeds," said Hans Ellegren, a professor of evolutionary biology at Uppsala University in Sweden. | Wow! What an interesting article with some interesting things to think about for the future. Will it become somenthing that will be acceptable for humans, where we develop a Human Standard and you can only breed if you possess certain identified traits established by who???? Kinda scary but exciting for science. It will be interesting to see the reactions this article gets. |
