| House trained Yorkie Reverting-HELP!! Hi All! I have two female yorkies: Sophie (1 year 8 months) and Rudy (8 months). We brought Rudy home back in January. Sophie has been pretty much 100% house trained since last summer. A very occasional accident, but they were usually our fault. However, over the past three or so weeks she's completely regressed! About 50% of the time she goes to the door and rings her bell, but the other 50% she just goes where she wants or rings the bell but pees if you're not right there. They're large amounts of urine, but she's not drinking any more water than usual. In addition, there has been an accident or two in their crate in the morning, but since they share it's hard to tell who did it. We have taken her to the vet and she physically checks out perfectly and so does her urine. The vet said maybe something happened outside which has made her nervous, but we can't imagine what that is. We always go out with her and have never seen anything out of the ordinary. Does anyone have any suggestions? We're trying crate training again and giving her a lot of praise when she goes outside, but at this point our 8 month old is more house-trained than she is. Any advice would be appreciated!! Sylvia |

| The only thing I can suggest is to give her treats when she potties outside and watch her like a hawk when she is inside so you can put her outside to potty. My Yorkie turned 3 in March and she has spells were she will start peeing in the house were she is not suppose to. If her routine changes like moving furniture around, if a strange dog comes over or I have more people over than is usual she will go potty in the house. As long as things stay the same she will potty on her pee pad and outside. I guess she will always be like this and I don't know how to change it. Has there been changes in her living environment, maybe she is like my Addy? Believe me I know it is frustrating..... |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Kagan was potty trained and when we first moved to mi from fl she did great but come the winter time she would go inside. We dressed her warm and she would sometimes go outside but most of the time she would go right by the door. :/ She would play in the snow but when it came to going potty in the snow vs. a nice warm cozy house she preferred inside. Then when warmer months came around she would switch and ask to go out. And I was like why cant you do this year round lol. So is your problem maybe weather conditions (storms, too hot, cold)???
