| Anytime I brought a new pet into our home, I would let them meet outside before going inside the house. They got to sniff and do what pupsters do. This way the dog that is already here feels better on meeting a new one, just makes them more comfortable and not having the other on his territory.. Also make sure your dog that you have now still comes first with eating, grooming and such. Good luck and congrats.

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | Great idea! Your new little one is going to be soooo happy to have all your love and attention! I have 2 boxers and was very worried when we adopted Max (our Yorkie). They eneded up being very paternal with him but I know it is different for everyone. good luck!

| oh wow, i am so jealous. i can only get a new puppy once i move out *sigh* I agree witgh your friend, I want to do that too if I can. Also i have been doing alot of searches on YT and have seen that most suggest: -having puppy in crate and adult smell through bars -let puppy out and closely supervise interaction -dont force them together, let their relationship develope on its on (with supervision ofcourse) -MOST NB, always feed, play with, give attention to etc. your adult first so as to try to curb jealousy Hope that helps, and CONGRATS on your new baby. Im sure its going to be so much fun

| Take the older guys to meet the new baby. We did this several times, but my breeder is 10 min away they did great there. When we brought her home it was a different story. My oldest didn't really care as long as she left her food alone and didn't bother her while she was sleeping Lizzie was a different story. She was my baby from day one. She did every thing together. Well al it's everything. She became very sad when Abbie came home because I had to devote extra time to the baby. It is 2 months later and the jealous behaviors c has stopped for the most part I am lucky that Abbie is not as clingy as Lizzie I stared nap times with Abby so Lizzie and Mollie got a break and it helped a lot. They still have the need to be overly loving for example if abbie comes and gives me a few kisses my Lizzie has to give me a hundred. They don't fight over toy but they do fight over bones. I can have 10 bones out but what ever bone Lizzie has Abbie has to have that one also. I have now got them chewing on opposit ends of the same bone |
