| Thank goodness!!!! It's not mange Just terrible flea allergies, and Luna had developed a secondary skin infection, poor wee one We got meds, antiinflammatory shot to break the itch cycle, and an appointment in two weeks to re-check and give vaccines if all is well. I was so worried that it was going to be something awful, whew!

| Florida Flea Fight I feel for you and poor Luna. My Noah (RIP) bless his heart, had a horrible allergy to fleas, one bite could set off a chain reaction of OCD scratching, chewing and of course skin damage and infection and even the dreaded tape worm cycle. Thankfully the last few years of his life were flea free. Noah lived to be 18. We had a special area on the sun porch with pee pads for him. We never let him in the grass on walks. We stripped our home of carpet, drapes (we went to short valances and blinds) we replaced old beds and throw rugs. We had the house and yard professionally treated for fleas and other bugs. I made all the dogs new beds (the pillows for their crates and the ones they lay around on) I made them with zippers and stuffed them with cedar chips. Which you can buy in giant bags at Walmart. I also made washable covers. The cover gets changed every week and I replace the chips every 3 months. We also changed to a flea, worm and heartworm preventive called Trifexis. I have not seen one flea in 3 years. This is amazing to me, because we still live in the same sandy flea happy breeding area !

| That's great news! Are the fleas gone? I really feel for you... We had a flea outbreak last year and I thought they were never going to go away

It's so weird, they get groomed every two weeks and they check everyone for fleas upon check-in and they didn't see any fleas on them the last couple of times. But Sunday DH was sitting on the couch and he had a few jump on and off of him, so we repeated all the treating/cleaning again Monday. Whew! I haven't let them go outside but once in the last couple of weeks, poor kids They are pee-pad trained but LOVE to run and play outside. I feel bad for them, but don't want to take any chances that the stuff I put on the yard didn't work. I wonder if the squirrel family that hangs out in my yard could be the flea carriers? I always see them scratching Oh well, going to have to stay on top of it to be sure that they don't come back again.

| oh these poor dogs being allergic to fleas, that's distressing, it's like me being allergic to chocolate and red wine, I wouldn't be able to cope. have you looked into any homeopathic or natural remedies to keep the horrid fleas away without medicating |

| YES! Thank you so much for your good thoughts for my babies I was googling myself into a frenzy yesterday and was half convinced that they had the mange and would have to have those awful dips or the pills that could make them sick. Whew, crisis averted!!!
