YT Addict | I am at a loss... Re: Nail Clipping Miles goes to the vet and they gave me a demonstration and of course he is all well behaved because he's probably scared to death and doesn't want to get in trouble. Of course when he's home it's no can do as he fidgets, claws me to death, etc. and you have to be so careful with their little bones as you can hurt them pretty badly with very little effort. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! It's hard because every dog has their own personality. |

| I don't cut nails. I let my groomer or vet cut Marcie's. |

| Sorry I can't help....Georgie is a completely different fur butt at the groomer. He is calm and lets her groom him to the max! At home no way he shakes and moves ect...I don't even try anymore. Just like skin kids they are worse with their parents

| Have you considered a Dremel? There is a pretty big thread on this subject in Health and Diet. Let me see if I can find it.... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...emel-love.html

YT Addict | You are exactly right. This is just what it is. He now screams at this awful high pitched tone. UGGHHH. He didn't do that well at his first grooming. They had to call me in to hold him while they cut his nails. Wasn't a complete cut and the girl took off 15.00 for me. Another UGGHHH. |

| We found a groomer through our Vet who has no problem with it. Although like I said he is better when I am not there. She grooms out of her home (she has a shop in the backyard).

YT Addict | That's why!!!! I don't like it because if something is going on in there the pup can't tell you what happened so it's the groomer's word against a poor voiceless pup. |

| I agree completely. She also grooms at the Vet and there is a big window for you to look through while she does it. I took Georgie to a groomer before her and he got clipper burn on his manhood That's how I found her I asked the Vet at the appointment to get meds for him.

| I have not done it, but I read somewhere here about putting a nylon stocking on the paw so that the nail sticks out and the hair is inside. I think that it is like anything- they know when you are unsure and use it for everything it is worth! |
