| One Yorkie.... or two??? We have an adorable baby almost two years old that I take to day camp three times a week. He dearing loves playing with all of his friends. However lately he has been getting too rough and sometimes even sore. The only reason I take him, is because he loves going so much. Instead of camp, we are thinking of getting another Yorkie so he has his own buddy 24/7. Anyone have any thoughts on having two? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome. I have 4 and that's become a little overwhelming. It is nice when they have a companion 24/7 as long as they get along.

| I think if you can care for and afforded vet care for two then I would go for it.

| I just got the second yorkie about month ago and it is very busy sometimes. Jasmine will be two in Oct she has done good with him most of the time. Tucker is alot younger than Jasmine was when we got her so we are working on every thing . Good luck I love them to pieces and would not change a thing .........maybe sleeping in again on the weekends Tucker's first potty time is six am hehe

| I have two and love it as well!! However with that said, I will say it is VERY different with two than one. I used to take Rosie every where with me. Lets just say it is easier to take one around then two! But I do manage! Also double the expense on everything. Flea meds, heartworm meds, shots, food, bathing and grooming, etc.

| Thanks everyone for your feed back... Ok, so two yorkies sounds great! However, my concern is... 1) losing that close bond I currently have with Mini Cooper. 2) taking two yorkies everywhere instead of one. 3) I have a boy now, do I get a new baby boy or girl? |

| My Gabby is almost 2 and I just got her a friend yesterday. It's been so much fun already! I'd say go for it. The inconveniences are something you'll figure out as time goes on. I have 2 girls now. |

| I know I'll have another dog someday, but for now, I've been appreciating just Jackson. It's easier to train just one dog. He's super easy to take everywhere that he's allowed to go. People are more willing to invite in one dog, vs. two (friends/family/etc). On vacations, they charge per dog per room often times in hotels. He's already totally trained, and very easy - no worrying about waking up early if I don't have to, or middle of the night potty trips. I know he's reliable out in public. It's easier walking with one (whenever I walk with two, picking up poop is a much bigger ordeal, LOL). It's cheaper (heartworm, flea tick meds, food, vet visits, etc). And I kind of like having a little pal. I'd feel bad if I could only take one for some reason and we have a really strong bond.

| I have 2...got the boy first...he was 14 months old at the time. Then, we puppy sat for a Shih Tzu and when she left, he was so forlorn, we got Mia, who was 17 months old at the time although she is actually 6 days older than Brody. They are such good buddies I cannot imagine not having them together. People think they are litter mates they are so close. We take both with us, and we even take both when just 1 of us goes. We are again puppy sitting the Shih Tzu, the gorgeous ex-show-puppy Sunny, and we took all 3 with us today...they get along so well together. My older son brought his Lady (a Doxie mix recovering..well!...from back surgery) and all 4 had such a ball playing together. I would do it again in a heartbeat...bring in a companion/playmate for a single Yorkie (any dog or cat, actually). The adjustments are minor in my experience compared to the love we receive in return.

| I have 2 and love it! There are so many differences than just having one and one of those differences is that it's much harder taking 2 than one. I also do not think you will lose the close bond you have, but will gain more of a bond. I saw so many amazing changes in my Cooper when I brought Max home to him. I think our bond has grown and I now have a double bond because I have 2 dogs!
