| A list of the best dog foods I was really surprised to see that Royal Canin wasn't on the list at all. I always thought RC was good? I was also equally shocked to find Kirkland brand on the list! Best Dry Dog Foods |

| me too. It was one of the only foods Gabby found palatable and wouldn't turn her nose up at. I think, unless something drastic happens, I'm going to stick with them. |

| I don't pay attention to those lists anymore. Notice a lot of those foods were just part of the big recall. Don't get caught up on stars, etc. I like that review site for the purpose of looking up ingredients, etc... but I pay more attention to consumer reviews, and quality control, where the food is produced. I wish Royal Canin would get their own plant (currently they're owned by Mars - Pedigree, the candies Twix, Wrigley gum, Skittles, etc, etc, are made) and change up a few ingredients personally, but I still think they're a decent food from a good company. I'm actually not exactly sure where their food is specifically made, in what state, etc. Haven't looked into it.

| I use review sites to see the ingredients lists, etc., if the manufacturer doesn't list them on their website...and for the chuckle. For my food and my babies food, I pay attention only to the specific ingredients and what I already know about them or what I can learn in the case of a new ingredient. I have spent many years doing this kind of research because I am chemically sensitive and was sick every day of my life for many, many, many years....but not any more!

| I dont like those lists at all- the best food is the one that works for you and your dog. So many people, even here, bash Natural Balance- it works great for both my dogs, they do great on it and I am comfortable with the company- yes! even now. Many of the foods people recommend as the "best" would make my dogs very sick- so to each his own,

| They base those only on ingredients not where the ingredients are coming from and the company's actualy making them. I like that site because it does list the ingredients but you need to do your own research on the company. I will never feed anything diamond makes ever! The safest food to feed in my opinion is homemade but only when done right!
