| Taping and treat question I just taped Penny's ears up today after watching a few YouTube vidieo's. I thought that she would not like it at all, but she does not seem to care much. I am not sure if I did it right- I don't want her ears to fall back. I think I had the ears taped to close together- so I cut the tape between them and add a bit. I just started to train sit and her name today. She is not that motivated by food. She does like string beans, so I made some this morning and cut one up for training rewards. She did better than I thought. She is a very calm puppy for the most. After she sits, she does not get up, so it makes it more difficult to teach. I did do the training after running around the back yard with her, that part will be great for my soccer playing. I run ten or so sprints across the back yard and she runs after to follow. Maybe I should try the training before the running... I would like to post a picture of her ear taping, but I am using an iPad, and I don't understand how to make the picture small? |

| i have no advice for taping of the ears..but if you have a photobucket account its much easier to load your photos there and then direct link them to your YT post. good luck with Penny's training.

| no advice on taping either, how old is she, and have you tried just gently rubbing and stimulating the ears every night, even shaving off heavy hair can help, floppy ears are cute too if it just doesn't work out |

| Teach her the "stand" command. When she is sitting, encourage her to stand with a squeaky toy or tugowar toy above the nose or raise her up with your hand under her belly & praise/treat when she stands up. That's how I trained Tibbe to sit as he would sit & stay until I threw in the stand. So he kind of learned sit & stand together. He got very good at both in about one week. Now he does all sorts of tricks & is always bugging me to "train"! He loves to learn new tricks.

| I would like to see the photo of the ear taping. I had Max's ears taped for weeks. I was very used to taping them using a variety of methods. His ears never did stand but it wasn't because we didn't try! He's a 15 pound Yorkie with huge floppy ears. They are just perfect that way
