| Shampoo saftey............ I am looking for a SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulphate) free dog shampoo. Anyone know of any? Shampoo industry (pet and people) loves to use SLS because it makes lots of suds........which makes the consumer happy. SLS is, regrettably, carcinogneic. Hope I am not an intruder here on this site. My Oscar is a rescue Yorkie poo mix with limited cerebral horsepower, but an irresistible face. And...question two.......what is the difference between people shampoos and pet shampoos? If there is no difference or only an ingredient or two, then maybe I could use people shampoo. It is easier to find SLS free people shampoos. Many thanks for your thoughts. |

| You dont want to use a people shampoo because of the differences in ph levels. I use a people conditioner though and have for 4 yrs. I would look into biogroom for a shampoo

| I haven't tried it yet but a lot of people here seem to like yorkie splash and shine. Their site says they contain no chemical detergents. List of ingredients in Yorkie Splash: Saponified Organic Oils of Coconut, Olive and Jojoba Glycerin/Vegetable Gum Extract Fragrance Oil Blend Organic Aloe Vera Rosemary Extract |

| I'm pretty sure Yorkie Splash and Shine and Nootie are free of SLS. |
