| Boy question Ok I have a boy question its about my moms yorkie Sammy. I have a girl so don't know much about boy yorkies. We where out the other day and my mom brought Sammy to the vet with her when Callie had to go in about her skin because he was doing that mom take me with you cry and he is very much a mamas boy (we also took them to the pet store after the vet and then him and Callie hung out with my grandpa while we went to human stores). Well we were in the grass area at the vet for Callie and Sammy to do a potty well Sam normally always lifts up his leg to go potty well he squatted to go pee and I thought that was weird because I have never seen him do that. He is 6 years old. Is it normal for a boy dog to go pee either way? Just kinda wondering

| Ralph has never lifted his leg, the old place I worked out the owner said that some dogs dont start lifting until they become like 6-8 months old and I got Ralph neutered right when the vet gave the okay, so Ralph has always squatted. So i dont know if what she said was true. |

| I don't think it's a problem... Couv will sometimes lift, and other times just kinda move his leg so he doesn't pee on it. I've seen a lot of boys just kinda lean into the grass to potty. It definitely think it's normal

| Fido does both sometimes he lifts his leg sometimes not, he does not lift his leg when he's having his first pee outside in the morning and also he doesn't do that if he hasn't peed for many hours.

| That is exactly what Brody does...and while he's peeing, he sniffs the flowers, examines the grass, weeds, etc. that are there. If you did not know that's his pee posture, you'd think he was just checking my mowing job.

| Bogie squats to pee unless we are out walking, then he will lift his leg if we pass by tall grass or trees. He was neutured at almost 8 months old and hadn't gotten the habit of leg lifting yet.
